BHP Nickel West Mt Keith Debottlenecking
Client: CPB Location: Leinster, WA
CPB have been given the SMP portion of the BHP Nickel West Mt Keith Debottlenecking project and are constructing tie in’s to existing conveyors, installation of new conveyors and take-ups, and the mill and switch rooms. Minor underground service installation is also part of the project scope.
Surveying works involved the SMP phase of the project which included:
- Establishment and verification of survey control
- Monitoring of survey control
- Alignment of conveyors, chutes, pulleys
- Setout and verticality of structural steel
- As-constructed surveys of bolts and civil works
- Dimensional control surveys of base plates, cast in plates and high accuracy chute alignment including virtual fit
- Reporting and quality control
